In celebration of Mutual of Omaha’s centennial, the Mutual of Omaha Foundation is excited to partner with KaBOOM!, a national non-profit organization that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. Together we will build a total of seven playgrounds in Omaha, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Tampa and St. Louis.

More often than one might imagine, playgrounds are seen as an unnecessary expense in ever-decreasing budgets. For that reason, many schools and organizations serving low-income youth are forced to function without a place for children to play.

Operating since 1996, KaBOOM! has constructed over 1,500 new playgrounds and skate parks and renovated 1,600 others nationwide. While the planning process takes 8-12 weeks, the playground itself is built in just one day.
