1. What does “community-build” mean?
“Community-build” means that a group of local citizens, usually organized as parent committees, child-care centers or non-profit associations take the lead in initiating and planning a project to benefit the whole community. Playspaces built with the “sweat equity” of local volunteers are much more likely to be taken care of.
